APRS Portable Unit

Using a old gun case I was able to quickly put together this portable  unit for use in remote areas were a vehicle can't go, horseback, or even on a boat.
 
 
 
Power is supplied to the TinyTrak3Plus by using a old 35mm film canister and a 9 volt battery. It  may also be used to power the GPS 315.
 
 
 
 


Not bad for HT and a rubber antenna.
Trip was one way from home to Ashland. A total of 25 miles.
